Bits and pieces of the final day of C-FUN on June 30th, 1969. AL JORDAN, PAUL PRESTON, DEL ARCHER, JIM JOHNSTON, FRED LATREMOUILLE, CLARK GRAY, BOB IRELAND, J.B. SHAYNE, HUGH LOWDEN, BARRET LAURIE and LARRY BAUDER were all a part of the final day of C-FUN and the birth of CKVN. In September of 1967 C-FUN dropped Top 40 and went to a middle of the road full service format. By the summer of 69 they featured newsblocks known as Newsreel. After the change to CKVN [VN = Voice of News] there was a short lived All News format. In March of 1970, Rock and Roll was back on 1410 as CKVN took on CKLG.
