CKVN 1410 Vancouver September 30, 1973  On June 30th 1969 the legendary C-FUN call letters were retired and 1410 Vancouver became CKVN (Voice Of News). In April of 1970 the all-news format was dead and once again 1410 was playing the Top 40 hits (something it hadn't done since September of 1967). Unfortunately, the CFUN call letters were granted to a station in New Brunswick. In 1972 CHUM bought CKVN and they negotiated the return of the CFUN call letters to Vancouver on September 30th of 1973. Mike Cleaver is the voice of this history of 1410 Vancouver aircheck.
