We are looking to hire a knowledgeable and passionate web professional. The Digital Content Producer will be responsible for making our radio and television stations look great online while maximizing engagement and meaningful interactivity with listeners

The Digital Content Producer will work with the local stations, and be part of a larger team creating a healthy interactive business within our websites

This position’s focus is on content, content management and design. It is NOT a Web Developer position or an IT role

Responsibilities

Responsible for creating and publishing a variety of content types for the BC Interior group’s radio and TV digital properties
Work directly with various content providers and the national content team to acquire and distribute content
Work closely with all station personnel to disseminate permissions and workload as well as populate the site with fresh content
Present a user experience that is meaningful and engaging to the listeners
Collaborate closely with the Digital Account Manager to produce custom high level advertising solutions that deliver strong R.O.I.
Collaborate with Programming/Promotions to create a meaningful and viral database member experience
Build and maintain social networking tools i.e. Facebook and Twitter

Skill Requirements

Post-secondary degree/diploma in graphic/multimedia design
Graphic design experience/skill with a hip/contemporary design sensibility
Proficient with Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver
Video editing skills is a plus
Experience working with HTML, CSS and JavaScript is a plus
Demonstrated creativity in engaging users
Must possess strong short form feature writing skills
Must be organized and able to handle multiple assignments
Excellent interpersonal skills and has a positive attitude
Superior time management skills
Must be resourceful
Ability to work in a fast paced, customer focused environment
Attention to detail is extremely important and the ability to work within prescribed guidelines

Position: Swing News Anchor/Reporter - Bell Media Radio
Location: Kelowna, British Columbia

Bell Media Radio is seeking a professional individual who loves radio and has a passion for news to join our team in the capacity of Swing News Anchor/Reporter in Kelowna, BC.

Responsibilities:

Anchor weekday and weekend newscasts and reporting five days per week.
Provide vacation relief for news anchors for all dayparts.
Develop community contacts.
Attend News events, chase stories and follow up on files.
Post stories to web daily.
Find the local and or regional angle to provincial and national stories.
Work with team members to brainstorm story ideas and co-ordinate news events.
Apply news content to station social media platforms
Other news-department duties as assigned by the Assistant Regional Program Director and/or Assignment Editor

Skill Requirements

Ability to work with minimal supervision and/or frequently un-supervised
Ability to generate at least three stories per day.
A solid on-air delivery.
Excellent writing and communication skills.
Mature, calm and professional manner
Able to take instruction with ease; willing to learn
Proven display of initiative
Represent Bell Media with integrity, respect and mature judgment
Minimum two years experience.
Experience covering police and court.
Broadcast (radio) journalism education from a recognized institution required.
A valid drivers license (abstract may be required)
Strong references
