Quote: "The fun seems to have gone out of local politics"..

I well remember Jack saying a variation of that same phrase: "All the fun has gone out of reporting"... back when he left 'NW and Vancouver for the Okanagan...

Any of you are welcome to run for Town of Oliver councillor in the by-election as local BC elections allow for non-residents to run. You'll likely end up with the highest councillor expense reimbursements, though! :)

Cheers,

Not to belabor John's point

I was fired by NW

Spent more than a year with David Ingram, bought a home with Wendy on 2nd Avenue NorVan before any thoughts of going home to mother.

In 1984 I did just that and took up a different line of work - a job with a government contractor (CL) - 30 years which included most of the 17 years of Town Council. Now ten years with ODN.
