Poor Phil was absent from his duties as NW Morning Man this morning. According to fill in host Jon McComb, yesterday was Till's birthday and he was in no shape to come to work this morning.

I think the folks at Corus should take a good strong look at pehaps getting PT into some sort of a rehab program. He quite obviously has a problem with the bottle and it is now affecting not only his on air performance and his ability to show up for work, but it is also affecting those who work with him. Late last week he hosted a lunch at his home for his morning show co-workers, and again booze took it's toll. His producer, Amy Lapsley had to find a designated driver to get her home safely.

Other than the 40oz flu Philip is suffering from today, I'm sure he had a wonderful birthday party...and he probably took a minute or two out of the festivities to remember his 25 fallen comrades who were tossed from the black tower on his birthday 4 years ago.
Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who couldn't hear the music.

I think he should start imbibing at the beginining of the show. Might make it more entertaining.

Here's an idea - enroll P.Till in a rehab program and then broadcast 'Daily from the Detox' reports.
NW brass could collect the segments and enter them for a Webster award. Perhaps P.Till could write a book about his experiences in rehab.
He could call it 'A Million Little Pieces.' I'm sure James Frey wouldn't mind.

You mean they're not already doing that with Tom Mark and Terry Schintz? ;)
