From 1996, here's a Lite 96 CHFM TV commercial featuring Don (Stevens), Joanne (Johnson) and the Coach (Jamie/Jim Herbison).

Brian DePoe would have been PD at the time.

They don't look as aged here as they do on the plethora of bus boards that have been polluting the streets of Calgary for the past several months.

I'm wondering if the bus board campaign backfired and cost them listeners?

Without them at CHFM, the station seems to be holding it's own. The Christmas bump was a bonus.

Has pave's predicted XL 103 slide into oblivion begun?

And Don still can't find his pants ;-) - according to the XL-103 TV ads.

After 17 years they still think boxer shorts with hearts are funny. Radio people have very little understanding of graphics, design or television. For years, the CHFM/Lite96 SUVs had a large "Platinum Club" logo painted in gold.

And that explains why radio is the way it is today: a chase for Fool's gold.
