Can't comment on Brown Bros but believe Senior did commentaries for interior stations sponsored by Export A.

Bill's voice and the tech types that recorded it - always had the meter banging on the end when transferring from a tape to a cart

What a voice.

Those voices... I miss them. i remember walking upstairs into A&B Sound's stereo room in the 90's and having Brian Arnold's voice shake the floors, walls, windows, and me as I stepped into the room. He may not have been the best voice in town at the time, but it was very impressive broadcast over all those speakers :)

Just noticed on the front page of today's Vancouver Sun that Murray Goldman passed away on Monday at age 92.

As is becoming the case more and more often. no mention of his passing on BC's News Leader CKNW. I guess there is nobody in the Black Tower that would know the name Murray Goldman or his
history in the City of Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. It would probably also surprise them to learn that at one time, Murray Goldman was one of the biggest advertisers on CKNW. If they hadn't
tossed their history, they'd have had several old Murray Goldman jingles at their disposal.

In addition to the advertising he bought on NW, Goldman and salesguy Gerry Altman did a half hour comedy show "Just For Fun" on NW each Sunday Morning from 1958 until 1963. The show was later
hosted by NW's Hal Davis and Norm Grohman and was sponsored by Murray Goldman.

Condolences to Murray's Family and Friends.
Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who couldn't hear the music.

I had the privilege of knowing Mr. Goldman, because I was a friend of his son David.

Mr. Goldman was a pip. I loved his humour and his grace.

My condolences to the entire Goldman Family and in particular my friend David.

Mr. Goldman was one of the funniest and most clever men, I ever met.

RIP.

Have been searching for the "Just for Fun" theme song for years. It was a melodic instrumental featuring a flute or vibes I think

Mr. Goldman was a class gentleman....may I humbly add my condolences to his family. Some well deserved words being passed on this site. Sadly, times have, indeed, changed in the biz and all that once surrounded it.

They were all much better than the current, "We're closer than you think!" (Maple Ridge Chrysler).
