COVER DOMINION
Three Chains Have Networks Coast to Coast

MONTREAL, Dec. 27. ? Three radio chains now cover Canada and include in their networks almost three-fourths of the entire number of stations in the dominion.
From east to west these chains run, from New Brunswick and Nova Scotia on the Atlantic coast to Vancouver on the Pacific.
With such hookups, programs of International i m p o r t a n c e are broadcast to every radio set in the land, as the audience of 60 of the 80 stations in the country have these programs made available to them.
Possibly the largest of the chains is operated by the Trans-Canada Broadcasting company. Twenty-four independent stations are hooked up in this network which extends from CFCY, its eastern terminus at Charlottetown, Prince Edward isle, to CKWX, its farthest west point at Vancouver.
CKGW, Toronto, is the key station. The Canadian National railways chain, operating 16 stations of its own and four associated stations, also covers the dominion.
The third Canadian chain is the Canadian Broadcasting system operating through 16 stations.
Unlike networks in the United States, stations in Canada utilize the services of two or all three of the chains. Lately, too, they have been utilizing programs originating In the United States through hookups with the NBC and CBS.
