CFAC reunion

A look back at various radio stations

CFAC reunion

Postby Mike Cleaver » Sat Feb 27, 2010 9:11 pm

I see on that "other" board that former CFAC staffers had a get together in Calgary this week.
Did anyone here attend?
I understand there were four scrapbooks of memories including photos of the station and the hundreds of people who worked there.
I would love to have access to those photos and articles if that's possible.
I never worked at CFAC but it was a sister station to CJOC radio and tv in Lethbridge.
I took a couple of "Reach for the Top" teams from Lethbridge to CFAC TV in the late '60's.
The late John McColl was a long time manager at CJOC before being moved to CFAC.
It was he who encouraged me to get involved in tv as well as radio.
He was one of the best managers with whom I ever worked.

Yeah, we're too busy "over here" talking about upside down pictures of cigar-smoking female hockey players.

What's your problem, Mr. Cleaver? You think this is a Radio board or something?

Mike, if you contact Rea Hughes, I'm sure she'd be glad to give you the log-in and passwords for the posted pictures. There are several hundred of them on line... You can mail Rea at rhughes@rlfoothills.com

Wish I'd been there.

Gymshoes send me a message board pm with your e-mail address, because Larry Etling hasn't.
