Barometer Bill and some kid from Abbotsfoord named Bennie were at CJJC in Langley in 1977.
Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who couldn't hear the music.

Bill Fox was a wonderful charming individual in the Newsroom at CJJC.

I can still see Bill delivering the News in that tiny booth across from the main studio wearing just one half of the headphone while the other half sat behind his ear. I always thought he could hear if any "breaking news" came across from the feeds behind him.

Often Bill and the late Frank Storey would share a bagged lunch on the Newsroom counter while Bill prepared his next Newscast recalling the early days working in New Westminster.

Bill did not have a husky voice. He had a silky smooth voice that gave CJJC a fabulous sound. Bill was a true broadcaster and a pleasure to work with.

RIP Bill.

Regards,

Rob Collins
