Mad Mel

Anyone out there know how to contact Mad Mel. He was a DJ for CFUN during the 1960s for a short while. I'm working on a documentary film and would like to interview him or anyone that worked with him or knew him well.

If it is any help to you, Mad Mel was with C-FUN from about April 1965 to about October 1965. There is also a Fred Latremouille interview on Youtube where Fred talks about Mad Mel.

vancouverbroadcasters.com says that Mal Potts is alive and well and living in Australia.

Not sure, but this could be him, pictured here:

His name was Melvin Potts. I read (or heard) somewhere that his name is now Melvin Happy and he's living in Australia.

Doc Harris worked with him in Victoria. In the 1980s or early 90s he was in Vancouver and visited Doc at CFMI or KISS FM.
Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who couldn't hear the music.
