Despite all the hirsute camouflage, that eerily resembles Bob Boving .. in the years before he became the imaging voice for CBC Television.

The station must be Rock 101 .. the year? No clue ... just sometime after his ass was fired from CJVI.

I'd say you're right on his name ... it looks suspiciously like a pic from a CKVN chart in July of 1971 ... [I'll bet Sykes was the PD then!]

as for today ... after so many years as the CBC voice, he even looks like Mansbridge.

Do tell about Bovings firing from VI? By the time I ran into him he seemed like a straight arrow and was always very professional.

Bob was briefly at CKLG a couple of times in the early 70's. I recall one newsguy there [Gordon Johnstone] constantly screwing up Bob's name. More often than not, he'd end a newscast with "Now much more music with Bob Bolting".
