Is this young jamie?

Stories and info about those no longer involved in the industry

If your answer is NO

then who is it?

Image

more importantly, what station, and the hardest questions

what year and at what street address

radiofan can guess but if he gets all the correct answers he only gets the addition
of a teenburger, no chips and no diet pepsi.

God I hope he is keeping track

I have been entrusted with several classic snaps which will appear shortly on my website if you need a clue

Don't know who or where but I'd kill to have that classic dual channel tube board and that Altec/Western Electric 639A or B.

Would it be a very young looking Dave McCormick? If it is that station might be CFUN.....from the late 50's/early 60's at 1900 W. 4th Avenue.

I don't want no stinkin' teenburger though Top Dog. A dozen LGD's would be much more appropriate.

I'll go with Big Daddy too...Jamie despite me giving him my old computer, has gone to hell on the PSR site.

CFUN in the '60's had moved to West 4th in Kits and had those custom Stan Davis chrome looking boards with the coloured knobs by then. So this is definitely '50's at the previous location. The board could be either a GE, a Collins or an RCA. Gotta go look at my file pics of old consoles to be sure.

anyone notice his quote for "the tall ones"?

speaking of quotes - here is the complete dope:

Okay j.b. - I have a color photo of a 21-year old me, working all nights at
the old C-FUN (812 Robson) taken Jan 1958.

21? I swear he looks 15-16

O.K., I admit that I cheated. A Google search was conducted and this came up:
http://www.sprottshaw.com/portal2/ff808081...station.do.html

Better give that beer to someone who really needs it Top Dog (like an ex-CITY TV employee). I couldn't live with myself knowing that I fraudulently obtained it.

I thought it was Dave McCk at first glance. The fact there was no ashtray full of butts kind of threw me off tho.

Let me get this straight .... Top Dog is comparing the great Big Daddy to Jamie? :o

Mike, could that be a Gates board? I don't see RCA on it anywhere.

"Youthful energy of boys"!? Other JB, Don't give me with straight line like that! :))

Hmm. The only REAL JB is Shayne, you know.

Who's missing? Anyone under 65!

You'll notice Jerry has his cigarettes. He STILL won't give them up, even after his sojourn in hospital.
