Merv Connolly, seems to me. First-rate newsie. What ever happened to him?
And (jeeeez) that is me at the head of the thread. CFUN, about 1975, I would've been 20 in that picture.
AND THAT TURTLE-NECK SWEATER WAS A GIFT FROM MY MOM SO, SHADDUP!

Dinner???

Next time Topper's in town, I guess NS will have to make his way across the border .. and collect for correctly identifying himself. B)

[I was testing cArtie with the typo..and he didn't bite, so I corrected it. Must be a sign that he approves of his new avatar!]

RF, I've got the radio magazine it comes from in my apartment somewhere, so I should perhaps be disqualified.

It's CFUN's Jack Casey. 1975.

McCoy wasn't in Vancouver then and he was blond anyway.

If you have the magazine, you will notice a blank spot next to where my picture should be (I would have just turned 19). Here's what happened - I went back in time and took it out just to frustrate T.D. ;)

Here's one from the cover of the magazine cArtie was referring to.

I'm sure Rob Collins has many fond memories of this! Dave Glasstetter designed it and put it all together [kind of a mini "Crystal Palce"]. The old CJJC Caboose now resides in the parking lot of CFCP JET FM, formerly Magic 98 in Courtenay [it was there 2 years ago, maybe PMC can confirm].

For a side of A&W Onion Rings, what's the name of the guy who hauled this thing around??

My wild guess is Bill Strafford.

cArtie.

P.S.: RF, I don't have THAT particular edition of the Radio Guide. I've got two others around here somewhere. You've gotta love the picture of Fred with the puka shells.

Well, Ted Michaels is too obvious a choice, so I'm ruling him out.

Strafford was doing weekday afternoons, if I remember, so I didn't think it was him, but figured I'd guess him because of his affinity for remotes. They were six-hour shifts on the weekend, weren't they?

Anyway, RF, I'll give up. No one else has guessed (few employees of City & Country Radio Ltd. here, probably), so you can divulge the answer.

cArtie.
