Nice obit in the Toronto Star:

MARC WEBBER
aka MARC CHAMBERS
After a courageous battle with cancer,
Marc passed away at Toronto General
Hospital on Friday, May 2nd, 2008.
Marc was a well-known broadcaster in
Toronto through his involvement with
1050 CHUM, The Weather Network, the
Toronto Argonauts, Humber College, The
MediaTech Group, The Voice Depot and
his many other projects. Born in Regina,
Saskatchewan on April 16th, 1956 and
raised in Vancouver, Marc was the son of
Vera and Robert Webber, brother to Sue,
Dave, Steve and Barb, step-brother to
Colin and Sherry, and uncle to twelve
nieces and nephews. He leaves behind
his partner of twenty years, Deborah
Roy, the love of his life. With his big
voice and friendly outgoing nature, Marc
won the hearts of thousands of fans,
students and friends over the years. His
strength and positive disposition over the
last two years is an inspiration to all.
Many thanks to the staffs of Princess
Margaret and Toronto General Hospitals,
with special thanks to Janet and
Maureen. The family will receive friends
at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME –
A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview
Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East)
for a memorial gathering to celebrate
Marc’s life on Wednesday, May 7th, 2008
from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. If desired,
donations to the Princess Margaret
Hospital Foundation, 610 University
Avenue, Toronto M5G 2M9 would be
appreciated. Condolences and memories
may be forwarded through
