Not in my words

"Someone has been doing the Fred rumour for more than a year. He was
rumoured to replace Forst too. I highly doubt the whole thing. Fred has told
many, radio's finished. There's nothing in it for him.
He doesn't need the money...he's filthy rich.....he wouldn't even talk
to anyone who wouldn't do a minimum of a mill a year...and no ones'
paying that anymore.

He takes 4 months a year at his Maui condo which
he would NOT give up. He won't work Fridays, he's 66 years old....and
hellloo, he never had ratings above 4th.

CLEAR has sent new rate cards out to
clients with an increase saying the new fore-mat will justify that. To
which clients are saying...I don't think so. What's the new foremat, and
who says it will fly? If there IS a new foremat, the other "rumour" is,
that's it will be a watered down JACK.

Other news.....Zack Spencer exits global, and Mark Madrega takes over.
Heir apparent to Wayne??"

Latre-mornings are back!

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - Big news in the radio business! Fred Latremouille and Cathy Baldazzi, one of Vancouver's best known morning show hosts, are back on the air this Tuesday with our sister station 104.9 Clear FM. Fred tells us fans will have no problem recognizing the famous team, and their unique program. Fred and Cathy shot to stardom in the 80's after they teamed up at CFUN, and were at Kiss FM until they retired in 1999. They decided to come back because they missed being on the air and interacting with their audience.

Crow

August 31, 2006

It is now official... although I have known it for a week and kept it a secret, Fred Latremouille and wife Cathy are going back on the air at Clear FM as the new morning team. Fred will broadcast from his home each morning with Cathy as co-host.

Having spent time with the couple in Hawaii earlier this year, I could sense in Fred a desire to return to his career love, radio. I invited him to visit my show on CISL and as he sat in the studio, I could see the delight Fred was experiencing being in a radio studio once more. He agreed to go on the air with me and it was great to hear this Vancouver radio icon back behind a microphone. He is probably the most naturally talented deejay we have ever had. I wish the two of them much success.

Someone should tell Ms. Wood that Fred "shot to stardom" long before Cathy showed up.

If memory serves correct in the early 70s Ms Baldazzi was working as the record librarian at CFUN when still married Fred was spinning tunes.
