After his stint at CKCK in the '60s, Bob moved to Hamilton radio where he remained until his passing on Tuesday at the age of 72 ("his 73rd year"). Here is the official obit:

WOOD, Robert Charles Passed away suddenly on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at the Hamilton General Hospital, in his 73rd year. Bob Wood, beloved husband of Michele Wood (nee Dahlgren) and dear father of Robert Wood (Julia), Jennifer Wood (Dennis Diemert) and Nicole Wood (Doug Henderson). Cherished grandfather of Adam, Brittany, Mary, John, Douglas, Charlie, Lauren and Rachel. Bob is survived by his brother George (Irene). He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. After retiring from a long career in broadcasting and sales in radio, Bob became very involved in the community. He was a long time member and coach of the Burlington Oldtimers Hockey Club, and served as president from 1995-1998. He served as president of the Burlington Brants Baseball Club for the past 26 years. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Friday from 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday, November 27, 2010 from 3-5 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Bob's life at the Central Arena Auditorium, 519 Drury Lane, Burlington, 6-9 p.m. If desired, as an expression of sympathy, donations made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Carpenter Hospice would be greatly appreciated by the family. http://www.smithsfh.com
