The CRTC has published information on Radio Salaries in Canada that you can dig pretty deep into:
http://www.crtc.gc.ca/eng/publications/ ... io2013.htm
Salaries, of course, are buried in a lot of other income and expense information.
For example, you will find that, last year, there were only 29 staff working in Small Market AM stations in Alberta, each making an average of $85,334 per year.
Not bad for a small market, is it? But then you can see that the average salary in 2012 was $42,318. And there were over 70 employees. Not sure how many were layoffs and how many resulted from FM Flips.
Like Ratings, the numbers can get very confusing.
