Ratings Predictions for Vancouver?

What is your take on the upcoming book, for Vancouver?

Will CKNW do a swan dive, and if they do - who picks the listeners up, CBC>?

Although I've been out of the market for four decades, and haven't work at the station for even longer, I do have to wonder how the latest set of changes will "hit" QM, in terms of Ratings numbers.

As for NW, CBU sounds like the only place for their listeners to go, assuming that the real News junkies and Sports fanatics had previously moved to WX and the soon-to-be TSN Twins, respectively.

With all the recent discussions of ethnic broadcasting into Greater Vancouver from both sides of the border, it would be interesting to see some ratings numbers on non-English language programming. I'm assuming that Numeris (ex-BBM) doesn't collect those numbers because none of the stations involved subscribe.

With the Canucks season starting soon I can see a lot of the NW listeners going to the Team or whatever they will call themselves.

It's the summer PPMs - does anyone care?

The fall book, which also includes smaller markets with diaries, essentially kicks off today.

And who knows, maybe all the "goodbye" shows on CKNW will give it a ratings bump for the summer. Then it's the "fall" book.
