Happy 81st to the Legendary "Pat O'Day".

Postby Tom Jeffries » Thu Sep 24, 2015 6:34 pm

One of the greatest minds in the History of Media, is 81 today.

Happy Birthday to the one and only Pat O'Day.

I hope he and his lovely wife and terrific daughter, Chelsea, spoil him rotten.

I had the distinct pleasure of meeting my hero, because of Phil Mackesy (*thanks Pal) and at the same time, the late Lan Roberts. For people of a certain age, these two are the apex of Seattle Radio, and two of the finest men I have ever met. Lan was so funny and kind, I still miss him and he is ten years gone. Pat is just amazingly smart, and so modest for a living LEGEND.

KJR was the B E S T. CKLW, nope.

Pat - all the best, my friend.

Even in Calgary, as a fledgling rock station in the early sixties, we'd listen endlessly to KJR airchecks... a habit I continued when I moved to Vancouver in 1966... and I could listen live. Pat was and is one of the best ever. Happy birthday Mr. O'Day! :worthybow:
