Maybe the cuts at NW are finally being noticed. My 73 year old mother queried me the other day about "what was going on at CKNW?". Her radio is only capable of receiving 980 since the dial hasn't moved in about thirty years. She was quite irate about all the infomercials that are running on the weekend although she described them in a more colorful manner. She didn't have many kind words for the "new" weekday programming either, especially for "fence sitter Bill Good" and that @#$% Christy Clark. She does like Dan Russell though but otherwise she's one unhappy senior when it comes the once mighty 98.

Corus isn't aiming for a 73-yr old senior and nor were the Allards aiming there 30 yrs ago when Mom's dial got permanently stuck at AM-980. Likewise, here in Trawna, folks have stopped listening to 1010 CFRB; we listen to Classical 96.3.

Although they play Beethoven's symphony no. 6 (the Pastoral) far too often; in fact, so often you'd think that Andy Kim or Paul Anka must be performing it.
