Colin all night? Nah, he did 7 pm to midnight (don't recall 610 being on till 1 am in '72) -- and he was replaced by a young fellow (well we all were...) from CKDR Dryden who followed Jim Harrison westwards... can't recall his name.
Colin James was the on air name of the first all night guy that did the Tri-mountain network, which was a link from CJAT to CKEK and CFEK in the east kootenay, via cable FM. Colin was from Edmonton... I can't recall his actual last name. There was a rack FM tuner in the CKEK studio, and the op only had to turn up the pot for the audio feed. This would have been in late 73 or early 74.
