Time for another get together?

Postby radiofan » Sun Sep 09, 2007 9:36 pm

A few folks have asked if we are planning another RadioWest.ca get together ...

If anyone's interested . pop us a note or a quick post here.

How does Saturday September 29th work? Some have mentioned Saturday works better than Sunday for them, so why not.

The spot on Marine Drive that we went to in June seemed to be quite central for most and there was no complaints about the food etc.

Noon til 3 .. 1 - 4 .whatever works is fine.

We've added a bunch of new members since June .. it would be great to see some of the new faces .. as well as some of you who haven't made an appearance yet and of course .. the regulars .. 8-)
Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who couldn't hear the music.

Saturday is a better choice. No conflicts with NFL viewing on Sundays!

Sounds good to me - time is running out - we need a bit more interest.

Although I would like to attend... time, distance and the ferry bandits keep me here.. anybody up for an island meet... perhaps Nanaimo on a Saturday or Sunday.

Sounds like fun. Mr. & Mrs. Pisstank will be there for sure!

As for your problem with transportation PMC.....why not board the ferry as a foot passenger. I'm sure some nice guy like Sykes would be more than happy to pick you up in Horseshoe Bay, take you to the get together, and then drive you back to Horseshoe Bay after the festivities are over.

I'd be happy to comply with the pickup and dropoff....IF I can get the day off from my job at the golf course. I'll let all concerned know by Wed. this week. So let me know if you need a ride.....otherwise let me know where on Marine Drive.....

Thanks for the offer John and Dan, but I will decline for now, perhaps later in the year. I am to busy to dedicate a full day to and from Vancouver right now.

Unfortunately, it's Wine Festival time in the Okanagan so I will be up there that weekend.
Looking forward to a spring session or perhaps, even a winter one.
Have fun!

Saturday works better than Sunday for me.

I'd vote for something somewhere between Thanksgiving and Christmas, early to mid November.

That's my .02 cents.

From the posts here, and from some e-mails I have received, most people would rather have a get together at a later time.

Maybe Dan will host an open house at his "fixer-upper" out in the Valley and serve up a cold brown along with some chicken wings to anyone who comes to visit :occasion5:

We'll come up with a date in the next few weeks and hopefully that will work better. :protest:

Seems a long way for those of us on the Edmonton site. But maybe something in Alberta could also be arranged. I think the majority haveworked in Alberta at one time or another.
