Merry Christmas from RadioWest

Merry Christmas from RadioWest

Merry Christmas to everyone that contributes to this site (or just reads it) along with those who attend our GTG's a few times each year.

Looking forward to a new year of posts, historical material and of course, the GTG's.

These days there seems to be more and more threads about people losing their jobs and corporate downsizing. Let's hope that trend ends and things turn in a positive direction next year!

Merry Christmas and a Happy 2016 to all!

Merry Christmas to all the posters & lurkers here at RadioWest. A very special thanks & gratitude to radiofan for hosting this sandbox. Santa brought me a brand new "World Radio-TV Handbook 2016" - it's the 70th anniversary edition. Even if you're not a "DXer" it's got plenty of data and entertaining reading in it, opening the world of broadcasting throughout the Earth! Speaking of which, it's a nice break for us AM DXers from all the vitriolic conservative hate-talk on the radio at night, replaced for a few brief evenings with Christmas music. Some of these 'sticks' sound down-right juicy in the audio processing dept. making it actually possible to listen using AM mode and "wide" IF filters for reception. However, some of the 'sticks' run by the biggest cheapasses out there, sound like garbage playing music instead of talk - pretty obvious minimal maintenance & investment in engineering! :occasion7:
