A very Happy Birthday to you Russ.

It's just too bad that birthday years - unlike the stock market - don't go down every once in awhile!

What do "El Paso," "Shimmy Shimmy Ko-Ko Bop," "Harbour Lights," "Tall Oak Tree," "Step By Step," "Cathy's Clown," "Alley-Oop," "Mule Skinner Blues," "Ooh Poo Pah Doo," "IBTWYPDB," "Hot Rod Lincoln," "Poetry In Motion," and "Calendar Girl" have in common with Russ Byth? Yup...they're all classics from 1960!!

So, "Let's Have A Party," bring the "Artificial Flowers" and the "Money," don't be in a "Sad Mood," and enjoy "This Magic Moment."

Happy Birthday Russ. :occasion1: :occasion1:  :occasion7:

I wasn't sure what kind of party you have planned, Russ -- costume, animal, smurf, mooning or what? -- but I hope that it is fun, and no one brings you a tuna fish cupcake with a candle on it. You deserve better!

Happy Brirthday to you Russ from the mid Island!

I haven't heard you this week, does Rogers give you a week off when you hit 50
so you can celebrate and not have to worry about being late for work?

From this point onwards, it's an uphill battle to enjoy the downhill side of life.

In case I didn't mention it previously, it was a great a little while back to hit 1130 on the car radio here in Edmonton, killer signal hours after sunrise, and there was Andy Walsh finishing up the News, then passing the mic. over to Russ.

I worked with Andy at CHQM in 1971-72, though we rarely crossed paths, as I was an Operator evenings and weekends, and Andy did Morning News. And now Russ is here on RadioWest. In between somewhere, Radiofan hired Russ at CKNW/CFMI. Of course, Radiofan and I (and others on this board) go back to attending Armstrong Elementary School at the same time. By the time we hit junior high school, there was about a dozen of us who were fanatical about Radio, in one form or another, and I don't mean Ham Radio.
