Happy Birthday Brian! After reading your stories, I'm wondering if those really are candles on your cake????

Have a great day and a happy healthy year! :occasion4:

Have a very Happy Birthday Brian!!! My Mom's birthday is this week also on St. Patricks day, March 17th!!! She lives back east now near Cobourg, Ontario and is a senior in her 80s. Very active person. Brian I met you years ago at CJJC 850 when I was a young pup in highschool, grade 8 I think. Had a nice chat with you about the radio biz. and job prospects at CJJC at the time!!! Wish CJJC was still in Langley in one form or another but the station went through a very turbulent time in the 1980s and last company who owned it amalgamated it with 1040 AM in Vancouver and of course it became Coast 1040 CKST. One format I can't believe they tried in the late 1980s was a punk-rock format in Langley as CJUP or Coast 800.That sure didn't have a hope in you know what of making it in Langley especially on a commercial AM station. Even put out a station yearbook for it which I think I sold to either Dan Sys or RadioFan a few years ago!!!! I'm trying to get information from the langley advance on any articles about CJJC signing on in the early 1960s with newspaper photos etc... I got interested in radio in Jan. 1967 so it happened before my time!!!! More later. Again have a great birthday Brian and I have enjoyed reading all your radio stories at various stations as well!!!!

Brian, it was a treat to work with you at 'JR two decades ago. Curmugeonly courteous, you were! Your's would be a welcome presence on the air in Vancouver should you ever have an urge to return. Many Happy Returns!
