The first live voice I heard on CFUN on Friday, February 9, 1962, was Dave's, counting down the C-FUNtastic 50. My first day listening to Top 40 radio.

I consider myself very fortunate to have started listening then, not two months later, when Dave was already in Fresno, working with Ron Jacobs, at K-MAKe. I would have missed a lot, had I not heard CFUN with Dave's influence present at the station. Let alone hearing Dave himself, on-air there.

Having been a dedicated C-FUN Hi-Fi member in the early sixties, I spent countless hours listening to the "Swingin' Men at 1410" on my portable radio. I still have the C-Funtastic 50 survey #75 that you were gracious enough to autograph while on location at the P.N.E. in late August 1961. I also remember watching Fujikami racing his bicycle around China Creek Bike Track.

Dave, you are Vancouver radio of the early 1960's. Thanks for the memories.
