While I have already opined that there's nothing funny about going to a "funny" format, I would like to throw another stick into the mighty Bow and see if it works its way upstream.

I find it unfortunate that Bell - an organization that hasn't been in Big Radio for more than 10 years - has followed every other broadcast organization in the manner in which they both manage and, most importantly, program their stations. It doesn't seem to bother them that they are participating in furthering the demise of an industry that, compared to other forms of media, has become the brunt of weak but easily-concocted jokes.

What is it about radio, I wonder, that can take otherwise clever people and within a fortnight (or a couple of weeks, at most) turn their brains to mushy peas....?

And, even more recently, Edmonton was too small a Radio market for them to bother with, so they sold The Bounce and abandoned a second FM license.
