Jungle Jay gone from Capital FM?

Postby dogfish35 » Mon Oct 07, 2013 12:08 am

Jungle Jay (Hamilton) appears to have departed from Capital FM. According to the station's website, Karl Douglas is now on the air weekends from 9 am to 1 pm - moved from K-97? Jungle Jay is no longer mentioned on Capital's website.

I hate to see anyone get tossed, but Jungle Jay just didn't fit at Capital. It was quite obvious he didn't do show prep and didn't really pay attention to what was going on around him.
He'd continuously stomp vocals. In the past year I passed by the Newcap studios in WEM a few times and I never saw his face. He was either busy playing solitaire on the computer in the
studio or out in the parkade having a smoke.

How long til Capital and XL dump the utterly useless Rick Dees voice trax? Does Rick Dees really have any relevance in Edmonton or Calgary in 2013? Has he ever?

If Capital must run American voice tracks, certainly there must be something better available. Rick Dees is terrible and Donnie and Marie before him were also pretty bad.
