Not sure that it carries any sinister meaning, but the CRTC today renewed the license for L.A. Radio Group's CKIK-FM in Red Deer just until the end of the year.
I assume that this statement in the renewal is boilerplate and is not related to any specific issues: "This decision does not dispose of any issue that may arise with respect to the renewal of this licence."

Maybe because the sale to Harvard isn't complete?
