I pad 2

Postby Jack Bennest » Mon Nov 21, 2011 11:06 pm

Do you know how to turn one off when it won't do what it normally does

Is there a way to reboot an Ipad2 - it is stuck on my email program and I can't get it to retun to the
main icon page

Help!!

I'm assuming you've tried double-tapping the round 'home' button, and holding down the on/off button at the top for about 5 seconds to shut it down?

Thanks for thinking about me Howaboutthat

When this problem occured at UBCM in September a lady did something like that and I got it back
running. This time the problem a bit different - frozen with the audio icon mid screen - no action on any button or combos

I looked at your reference link and the answer not exactly what I was experiencing.

Here is what I did: left it in fridge all night. battery dead in morning. plugged in power cord
and when it was recharging it restored itself.

These items are not reelly like a computer in that we have all learned how to re boot cpu's. Ipad2 is unique in my mind - carry around a window on the world- that small - that does so much.

If you don't know how something works, don't dish out bogus info. He could have completely screwed up his Ipad if he had started taking things apart looking for it.

Good work on rebooting Jack, but I wouldn't advise doing that too often.

My my my. Aren't we mature. Somedays, I get the feeling that you are actually our old friend Thorn. You appear to have a similar IQ and like MT, you seem to know absolutely nothing about radio or the
broadcasting business. All you seem to have going for you is your ability to Google, cut and paste along with hurling insults at others. If it wasn't for these qualities, you'd have nothing to say.

And if you buy anything in which YOU cannot replace the battery, you're simply asking for abuse from the maker who will charge you large to fix or replace it.
Karen, you've obviously never met Steve or talked with him.
True, he's never worked in radio that I know of but he's a major fan and is worth listening to for his opinions about the business being a listener.

Actually Karen did not identify whom she was speaking about

I thought the fridge idea was great - all the old bugs in the refridge that like the dark in there
must have really been in a bitchy mood by morning
