Rogers Digital Media Connects Consumers with Quality Brands with Launch of RDeals, Beginning Today
From fashion to food to fun experiences, the daily deals site brings daily savings to Canadians

(TORONTO, November 29, 2011) - Rogers Digital Media announced today the launch of RDeals, a new daily deals site that brings local and national finds to Canadians for up to 90 per cent off the original price. Beginning today, RDeals offers national deals across Canada(excluding Quebec), as well as local daily deals to the Greater Toronto Area on quality-branded products and services, including food, fashion, technology, vacations, spa treatments, fitness classes, and more.

This new initiative enables Rogers to extend its leadership in digital media and communications by combining online advertising with technology solutions to connect brands and engage audiences. The first national deal offered by RDeals today features:

For $32, you can give three gifts consisting of a $25 Chapters Indigo gift card plus two magazine subscriptions from eight Canadian publications, including Today’s Parent, Flare and Chatelaine.

Other deals to be offered in the Greater Toronto Area this month include:

· GreenShag: Toronto’s hippest menswear store offers a 65 per cent discount on a selection of their hip Canadiana and Sports Field collections of cufflinks

· The Gourmet Gift Basket Store: Send a little sweetness to your friends and family with a large 17-inch chocolate-filled gift basket at 50 per cent off

Deals sites have certainly become "the next big thing". You may have noticed them on newspaper and radio station web sites.

I also noticed that the ailing Yellow Pages Group bought RedFlagDeals.com, a Canadian site that I've used in the past, mainly for its discussion forum. Unfortunately, in the process, they broke the site, and I haven't been able to get logged on since.
