A sub in the Anchor chair at KXMC-TV News...

Postby J Kendrick » Mon Dec 02, 2013 11:50 am

What does it say for the guys who anchor TV newcasts for a living... when "Ron Burgundy" can sit in on that same anchor position in small town North Dakota and do a full half hour newscast ...cold... and do a credible job of it?...

See KXMC-TV (CBS) in Minot, North Dakota:

The backstory is quite interesting. The stunt anchoring shift was originally planned for KFYR-TV where a newbie lasted only one shift after using the F word when he didn't know the mic. was on. But was taken "across the street" instead.

While looking at references to the newbie, I found a British dozen worst TV moments list that included a BBC News mistake that was even funnier. Some guy showed up, as requested, for his job interview in the BBC computer department. Only to be ushered into a studio where he was interviewed live on-air about some Apple event in the News. Which he knew nothing about....
