Hudson Mack gone from CTV Van Island

CTV Vancouver Island News Director and Senior News Anchor Hudson Mack Resigns.

VICTORIA (February 24, 2014) - Veteran news director and senior news anchor Hudson Mack has resigned from his role after 10 years at CTV Vancouver Island. Effective immediately, CTV Vancouver Island anchor/reporter Andrew Johnson will lead the newscast until a permanent replacement is named. Helen Kim, the station's assistant news director, will assume the responsibilities of news director on an interim basis. "For the past decade, Hudson has demonstrated a tireless commitment to delivering the news to our community," said Kevin Bell, general manager/general sales manager, CTV Vancouver Island. "We thank him for his years of dedicated service, and wish him continued success in his future endeavours." A decorated broadcaster of 35 years, Mack has been covering news on Vancouver Island since coming to Victoria in 1985. He joined CTV News in 2004 as senior anchor and director of news and information programming, after 19 years as senior anchor and assistant news director at CHEK TV.
