Fun with Blizzard of 2015

Postby Russ_Byth » Mon Jan 26, 2015 1:47 pm

So far I have heard a reporter in New York, toe deep in an inch of snow refer to it as 'fluffy heavy white stuff'.
Lets see what other useful descriptions they come up with!

Dick Smyth threatened to behead any CHUM newscaster who said "fluffy white stuff."

The Don Lemon "BlizzardMobile" on CNN is plain juvenile ... it's simply a car. And he's hard-pressed to find more than a centimetre or two of snow.

Just now checked the Boston traffic cams. Doesn't look much worse than an average Calgary winter storm but, very few cars on the road even for Midnight EST.

I don't recall Tom Mark threatening beheading, but I seem to recall a similar 'white stuff' edict. I know he'll let me know if I'm wrong :-)

Watching Fox 25 from Boston. They appear to be wall to wall storm coverage with several reporters outside in various New England locations.

CNN should have sent Wolf Blitzer out into the storm and renamed him Wolf Blizzard.

Like Boston, New York City looks pretty deserted tonight.

In 9 winters in Calgary, there was never a real significant winter storm, The worst snowfall I encountered there was a late May storm that dumped a foot of so of heavy, wet snow in 1986.
Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who couldn't hear the music.
