global news faux pas?

Postby crs » Tue Nov 03, 2015 3:36 pm

Was watching Global BC News Hour yesterday while they were airing a story on our heavily taxed beer and wine and how it affects the hospitality industry. I did a double-take as they interviewed one restaurant owner in Yaletown and the reporter let it be known said restaurant has a 3-MILLION dollar inventory of wine on site. Really? Care to guess what the follow up story MIGHT be in a few weeks? "Restaurant XYZ was broken into last night and a half-million dollars in wine is gone". I think the word VAST inventory would've been sufficient. :violent1:

Did the owner of the outlet let it be known to the reporter.....

If the owner said "please don't use that info then....."

Unfair criticism of Global otherwise :groovy:
