Request Line Classics

Postby jon » Fri Mar 07, 2014 8:59 am

I think most of us have heard the fairly popular feature on Oldies stations of Misunderstood Lyrics.

A Newsman and former DJ on WLW-700 in Cincinnati, from when they played Oldies, turned it around to "Best Request Line Request of Misunderstood Title" and e-mailed the "best one he ever heard" to Pat St. John yesterday. Even a seasoned pro like Pat was amazed at this one, and aired it yesterday:
"She's a Muscular Boy" was a real Request Line request at WLW.

Please try to give it a guess before taking a look and listen. And no Spoiler posts, please, so others can enjoy this classic Trivia Question.

That's a good one. When I first heard Johnny Tillotson's Poetry In Motion, I thought it was Oh, A Tree In Motion.
We are running in, when everybody else is running out.

The only one of my own, on first hearing, that comes immediately to mind is "Symphony for the Devil" by the Stones when CKLG-FM first played it.
