AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd arrested for attempt to ‘procure a murder’ and drug possession: reports
The Australian-born drummer was arrested in New Zealand after police raided his home and found methamphetamine and cannabis. He is expected to appear in court Thursday.

AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd could be on a Highway to Hell.
Rudd was arrested after “attempting to procure a murder” Thursday morning in New Zealand, according to reports.
The drummer was to appear in Tauranga District Court after police raided his waterfront home in Matua, the Waikato Times reported.
No Dirty Deeds details, including who Rudd allegedly solicited and who he allegedly wanted dead, were available.
The 60-year-old musician also faces charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of cannabis and threatening to kill.
Rudd was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003 with his AC/DC bandmates.
The Australian-born Rudd was kicked out of the band in 1983 and moved to New Zealand. He rejoined the band in 1994.
AC/DC is set to release a new album, “Rock or Bust,” on Dec. 2.
Rudd was charged under his legal name, Phillip Witschke, for cannabis possession in 2010.
