AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd could be on a Highway to Hell.

Rudd was arrested after “attempting to procure a murder” Thursday morning in New Zealand, according to reports.

The drummer was to appear in Tauranga District Court after police raided his waterfront home in Matua, the Waikato Times reported.

No Dirty Deeds details, including who Rudd allegedly solicited and who he allegedly wanted dead, were available.

The 60-year-old musician also faces charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of cannabis and threatening to kill.

Rudd was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003 with his AC/DC bandmates.

The Australian-born Rudd was kicked out of the band in 1983 and moved to New Zealand. He rejoined the band in 1994.

AC/DC is set to release a new album, “Rock or Bust,” on Dec. 2.

Rudd was charged under his legal name, Phillip Witschke, for cannabis possession in 2010.

Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who couldn't hear the music.

HUH? This guy wins the Darwin Award this year.

You have it made in the shade - and he allegedly does this?

AC/DC maintains they will still tour.

Actually, to be eligible for a Darwin Award, you have to either kill YOURSELF or come close.

This is why allegedly is such a good word and it is always dangerous to jump to conclusions as Mr. Jeffries pointed out in the thread about the radio host.

The murder-for-hire charge has been dropped.
