FM Equalization

Anything to do with the world of music...old or new

Easy Rock played "One on One" by Hall & Oates this morning as their daily "Song You Thought We Forgot".

Very interesting because it was released just before FM stations almost universally switched to Equalization that saw the upper mid-range strongly emphasized. And Hall & Oates clearly had produced the song with its own similar equalization. Even though I run all my equipment with completely flat equalization, it was almost grating to hear the song with current FM equalization.

I still like the song, but I'll avoid listening to it on FM.
