Are you an oldies collector?

Anything to do with the world of music...old or new

Don't know if you are aware of this site, so thought I'd share it with you. I am an oldies collector...original hits by original artists...no repros from later years.

There's a good site for oldies music...Palms Radio www.palmsradio.com

They update every week with some good stuff from the 50's onward...a lot of music we didn't hear in Canada.....especially from Europe.

Cheers all

Just checked it out John. They were streaming an ESPN station from Corpus Christi, TX and a football game.

No Oldies there!
Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who couldn't hear the music.

I wonder what ever happened to the amazing collection of 45's that used to call 1900 West 4th their home.

Rumour has it that then-all night DJ Larry Bouder took them all home when CFUN became CKVN and went All News. "After all", he concluded, "what does an All News station need records for?"

They definately didn't become part of Hal Wardell's private library of Middle Of The Road and Easy Listening LPs in the room next to the regular library at 1900 W 4th.

I wonder whatever happened to the old Coke machine that held 6 oz bottles that lived in the lunch room? It was still there in 1971.

Maybe Sykes absconded with it!
