There were at least two significant bodies of Alberta radio history already in place before RadioWest began edmontonbroadcasters.com and calgarybroadcaster.com
(1) The Edmonton Broadcasters Club has a large (hundreds) membership and their own Web site, and has been collecting and creating their own detailed bios of broadcasters for a decade now. Future plans for the Web site are currently being considered and will likely include a redesign. I am approaching them about working together with RadioWest and edmontonbroadcasters.com to avoid duplication and to improve both sites. For example, it is not presently possible to link to pages on their site, as they are renumbered each time a new page is added.

(2) The Canadian Communications Foundation (CCF) is a well-funded organization dedicated to collecting and preserving Canadian broadcast history. Their
http://www.broadcasting-history.ca web site provides much of their material on-line. RadioWest uses it as the basis of RadioWest's Today in Radio History feature each day. And there are links to its material in edmontonbroadcasters.com, as well as use of their research.
Given that, I'm not sure that it would make sense for RadioWest to start albertaradiohistory.com, but that's just one man's opinion.
