It was 14 years ago today that legendary CKLW News Director Bryon MacGregor died. ref. - viewtopic.php?p=12774027#12774027

Seems appropriate timing for a Quiz Question: what do News Directors Bob Layton (CHED/CHQT) and Byron have in common?

Hint: this is a fairly close connection, not some remote connection like both attending a Radio News conference once.

Nothing wrong with Bob's energy levels, either on-air or how much he does each day. As well as managing Edmonton's largest Newsroom, he does a lot of on-air work, on Radio and Television. It all makes for a pretty long day, starting with the 6:00 a.m. CHED News. Among his other Newscasts, he does the half hour noon News with Eileen Bell. And still finds time to run an entertainment company with his two sons.

Byron MacGregor was born Gary Mack in Calgary. As teens, he and Bob Layton lived on the same street, several doors apart, on the same block.
