BRUCE SEELY
Morning Classics
Bruce Seely began a long radio career while still in junior high school in his hometown of Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. He was hired by a local AM radio station to play classical music from 6 to 9 each weekday evening on their new FM side. Now, some four and a half decades later, Bruce is again hosting classical music from 6 to 9, only now it is weekday mornings as well as 6 to 11 Saturday mornings on Classical 89. Bruce worked at Classical 89 in his student days while gaining a degree in Broadcast Journalism and singing with the BYU A Cappella Choir under Dr. Ralph Woodward. In the years since he has enjoyed raising a large and happy family while working in radio news in Canada and the United States. He sang for some ten years with the Calgary Opera Chorus and with a costumed, strolling, caroling quartet called "Christmas Cheer." Most recently he has sung with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Of his years in radio Bruce says he has been most fortunate because "it has rarely felt like I go to work, I enjoy it that much."
