Capital-FM's big win over UP gives it #2 spot. Kris Burkholder joining the Morning Show has got to be a big part of that win. With that addition, Newcap has re-created the winning 4 person team that did so well on CHED in the music days: Rob, Audie, Randy Broadhead and Kris.

Kris had really proved she still "has it" last August when she did Mornings on Capital-FM with Gord Whitehead, for vacationing Rob and Audie.

Is Corus happy with Joe-FM as a middling station?

Late last summer, they hired a new Program Director, Greg Johnson, who had apparently done very well at Roger Fort McMurray, and Fort Mack is one tough market.

May 18th was the closing date for a Music Director position where the emphasis is on the Music, though there are some on-air duties.

My guess is that Greg is a plodder, working slowly and steadily towards a goal, no doubt influenced by how large and complicated the Music Radio market is in Edmonton. As so many others have found out, what works in Toronto, may not work in Edmonton.

Corus appears to be patient with Greg, who may well have been slowed down, in terms of senior management decisions, such as the approval of the Music Director position, by the departure of Doug Rutherford.
