Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who couldn't hear the music.

Oddly enough, UP scores #5 in SHARE, but is #1 in CUME, meaning that a million people heard UP for at least a minute during the 3 month period measured. #2 in CUME is NOW-FM, with 904,100, but they lead by a mile in Daily CUME with 181,300 people who hear them for at least a minute in an average day.

The Bear appears to be the big Winner while CISN has taken the biggest slide.

All Christmas All the Time is the biggest non-story this year. As predicted, when you have more than one station doing All Christmas, neither comes out the winner.

Although Christmas music gave UP a bit of a lift in CUME over six months ago, it doesn't explain away the remaining 937,000 people when there was no Christmas music to listen to.

Just reading a Toronto radio post about All Christmas music still guaranteeing a big boost in ratings, at least for the first station to start playing it.

Contrary to what I said in my previous post, it does seem to still be the case, as UP got a 1.5 point boost in SHARE from the previous ratings period.

As for NOW (CKNO-FM), in the Boss Radio days of 3 hour on-air shifts, KOL's Magnificent Seven was the Gold Standard in terms of staffing: 7 DJs on the air. Which is what NOW is currently running with. Admittedly, the shifts are longer, there is a two person morning team, and no more 6 day work weeks. Impressive nonetheless.

So other than having 7 DJs, NOW is nothing like KOL.
