Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who couldn't hear the music.

Country continues to slide in Calgary...on FM and AM. That Classic Country format on 1060 really was a flop....wonder if there will ever be an attempt breathe any new life into the station or will it just be left to die on the side of the road?

A look at these ratings would have me believe that CHFM (Lite 95.9) was all Christmas music for the month of December.

Was that true?

I think you're correct, jon... speculation: perhaps 1060 could become TSN Radio... but country--slumping--in Calgary??
How ironic... format fatigue? Lack of exciting new acts? Dilution of audience to other formats or personal devices?
Interesting...

More likely: AwfulTune fatigue!

Not only do I go along with Mike on this one, I like his choice of terminology. :tail

Although my own priorities have more to do with What We Say, that What We Play is given so little attention beyond the skull-numbing contributions of the Music researchers and Consultants - a critical, destructive (lack of) strategy - is still half the poison we have been self-prescribing.... and ingesting.

This really ought to be a freebie for Oldies-type stations as they have literally thousands and thousands of cuts from which to choose.

Meanwhile, I wonder if there are any Hallmark greeting cards that say: "Sorry about your Lobotomy...."
