In 1970, when CJOR wasn't talking .. it was Country.

Here's a few jingles from that period of life in the bowels of the Grosvenor Hotel.

CJOR Country
Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who couldn't hear the music.

RF, was it country all day or just during certain day-parts? I honestly don't remember it being country. I remember when it tried disco programming under Phil Toombs.

Actually, the positioning was "The Talk Of The Town, and Country Too"

There was a two-hour window in the afternoon (2 to 4-ish?) that they played music...Monty did what Monty did in morning drive and that wasn't country...and Jerry Landa played country all night.

Weekends were country too. Hal Weaver worked weekends for a few months before moving on to CKVN when it went Top 40 in March.

I think Jim Hault and PJ the DJ also worked there on weekends at that time.
