CFMI Country

When CFMI hit the air in March of 1970, it had a country/rock format and the station was the voice of Gastown. Along the the country tunes, there was some gawdawful Pepper Tanner jingles that followed me home one day

CFMI Country
Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who couldn't hear the music.

I'm sure I remember it being discussed elsewhere at some point in the past, but wasn't CFMI mono when they first signed on with their countrified format?

Can you imagine Bro Jake cracking the mic open after one of those jingles?
