I'm assuming that Crown Zellerbach's Zee toilet paper had disappeared by this time (1988). I'm not even sure it survived the great toilet paper shortage of 1975, when no toilet paper was being manufactured in Western Canada due to one or more strikes.

I'm not even sure if Zee was ever sold in the U.S.

Toilet paper historians, and I know you're out there, now is your time to rise to the occasion and enlighten us all.

Here, in Vespucciland (...as in "Amerigo", all you history buffs) we agree to stop using the pronunciation "zee" when you can take us to the zoo and show us a "zedbra"
